Lotus Petal Adventures presents - The Cave Rover™ Project - Interactive Adventure Video Series - 2020 Season - Cave Diving Robot - First attempt failure.
In this episode we take the Cave ROVer, after 6 months of development, into it's first cave dive exploration. After thousands of hours of design, development, fabrication, hours of pool and lake dive test, we journied 28 hours round trip to Jackson Blue Hole, Blue Hole Spring, Marianna, Florida to attempt our first cave dive. Unfortuantely during the initial dive test, the robot encountered a leak into the primary electronics causing the system to go into emergency protocols. We still find the beauty in our attempt and will strive forward!

In this episode of Lotus Petal Adventures, we take Cave Rover 1 in cave testing #4. A concept design prototype cave exploration robot, presently in development. We headed to Monroe County, Indiana, for tests of the rover in a cave environment.
Video of our successful test of the CIAD Cave Internet Access Device I have been developing. We sat out after dark, in the cold misty rain to a well known area cave (with permission) to attempt the first true test. We carried the system & both Cave Rover 1 & Internet Equipped Cave Rover 1 robots a few hundred feet into the cave and activated the system. Few anxious seconds of green flashing lights increased and suddenly went solid, we were online! YES! I had 72Mbps Symmetrically to the internet! Went live on Facebook to document the moment and then turned on Cave Rover 1 and let it explore for 2 hours under control from people in Wyoming, Wisconsin and Missouri, before packing it all up for the night and huffing it back to the car and headed home. The feeling of experiencing something that for weeks had only worked in my mind actually work in action was just amazing. Watch for many exciting things to come!

In this episode of Lotus Petal Adventures, we take Cave Rover 1 in cave testing #3. A concept design prototype cave exploration robot, presently in development. We headed to Lawrence County, Indiana, for tests of the rover in a cave environment.
After traveling over a half of a mile into the wet and muddy cave, we sent Cave Rover 1 into a small hand size opening in the ceiling, for it's first ever exploration into the unknown. After traveling over 80' where no human has ever seen, what we found was truly amazing!
Following our excitement of a successful first test, we sent Cave Rover 1 to explore into a beautifully decorated part of the cave, where the ceiling is at just 2.5" in height. A breath taking perspective no one has ever seen before.
