In this episode of Lotus Petal Adventures, we take Cave Rover 1 in cave testing #3. A concept design prototype cave exploration robot, presently in development. We headed to Lawrence County, Indiana, for tests of the rover in a cave environment.
After traveling over a half of a mile into the wet and muddy cave, we sent Cave Rover 1 into a small hand size opening in the ceiling, for it's first ever exploration into the unknown. After traveling over 80' where no human has ever seen, what we found was truly amazing!
Following our excitement of a successful first test, we sent Cave Rover 1 to explore into a beautifully decorated part of the cave, where the ceiling is at just 2.5" in height. A breath taking perspective no one has ever seen before.

The Cave Rover Project Update: ha HA, It's Alive! Speleo-Inspectors very first drive test after motors installed. Tested over 100ft tether on 18650 batteries. Next up we wire in the electronics. It worked! Wee. 🤓
